Creating peripheral iridotomies during DMEK has caused significant debate and stress for corneal surgeons. Various techniques have been attempted, including using flimsy, sharp needles or a Yag laser prior to surgery. We present a new, easier, safer technique using a 20G MVR blade and Sinskey hooks that has become our go-to method at Albany Medical Center in New York. Best of all, our fellows love it and it reduces the stress of their attendings!
