PRK went out of vogue because of postop Haze & Pain, being its biggest barriers. This Achilles’ heel can be overcome, by using pre, intra & postop rituals. Personality assessment & counselling, treating ocular surface inflammation, normalising Vit D and IgE levels, appropriate use of Mitomycin C intraop and Ketorolac soaked Bandage Contact Lens, has resurrected PRK in our practice.
