We describe a new technique, phacoemulsification without hydrodissection – ‘Passive-Hydro Phaco’ which includes shaving the superficial cortex, cracking the nucleus into 2 halves followed by chopping at 7 and 4 o' clock positions and devouring. The remaining half of the nucleus is freed from the capsule and emulsified. This is an effective solution to reduce hydrodissection-related complications.
